Master of Business Analytics at Deakin University, with a computer applications degree behind it and a 2102 FIDE rating beside it. I read positions for a living — on a board, and in data.
Selected to play for India in the Under-16 category — competing against the strongest juniors in the Commonwealth. The kind of pressure that teaches you to make decisions with an incomplete picture and a running clock.
National representationAn active rating built over years of tournament play — and the reason I spent a year coaching juniors at Kids Unlimited in Melbourne. Teaching a position is the fastest way to find out whether you actually understand it.
Active tournament playerChess isn't a hobby I list at the bottom of a CV. It's where I learned pattern recognition, calculated risk and the discipline of sitting with a hard problem — the same three things analytics asks for.

I'm an analyst by training and a competitor by instinct — most useful where the numbers have to become a decision someone can act on.
Right now I'm completing a Master of Business Analytics at Deakin University in Burwood, finishing June 2027. Before Melbourne, I finished a Bachelor of Computer Applications at Sacred Heart College in Kochi, India.
The path here wasn't only academic. I wrote Python automation as an intern at iDatalytics, ran marketing campaigns and managed 20+ client accounts in a fast-moving food business, and coached chess to kids across Melbourne — which is the fastest way I know to learn how to explain a complicated idea to someone not yet convinced they care.
I like the technical work — predictive modelling, SQL, cleaning genuinely messy data. But the part I'm best at is the handover: turning an analysis into something a person will actually use on Monday morning.
Predictive analytics, exploratory analysis and the unglamorous cleaning work that decides whether any of it holds up.
Comfortable in queries and scripts. Wrote 500+ lines of Python automation during my internship and cut existing script runtime by 20–30%.
Competitor research across 15+ brands, campaign execution, account ownership. Analysis that ends in a decision rather than a slide.
A year of coaching plus consultative selling. I match the level of detail to the person in front of me — technical when it helps, plain when it doesn't.
Open to analytics, data and customer-facing roles around Melbourne. Also happy to talk about a project, a problem, or a game.
